Mesquite Police Department Receives Grant to Join Statewide Joining Forces Traffic Safety Program

Mesquite PD joins 38 Nevada agencies in the Joining Forces program, which runs October 2026 through September 2027.

MESQUITE, Nev. — The Mesquite Police Department has received grant funding to take part in Nevada's Joining Forces Traffic Safety Program, a statewide initiative of 38 law enforcement agencies. The campaign runs from October 2026 through September 2027.

Joining Forces is a high-visibility, multi-jurisdictional effort to reduce traffic injuries and deaths. Agencies run targeted enforcement and education on impaired and distracted driving, speeding, seat belt use, pedestrian and bicycle safety, and motorcycle safety. The grant lets Mesquite PD put more officers and resources toward traffic safety.

Funding comes from the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
