Wedding ring lost on Dutch farm during WWII, found 83 years later

The Quick Take
A Dutch man who lost his wedding ring while threshing grain in 1942 or 1943 has had it returned to his family 83 years later. A metal detector user found it buried 20 centimetres underground in Odiliapeel and personally returned it to the owner's son, Bert Nabuurs, refusing a reward. The ring's engraved wedding date confirmed its identity.
